1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Callro ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Vindication Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
Callro is an Android application that provides call screening services. The App analyzes incoming calls using on-device algorithms and public data sources to identify and silence or block suspected spam, robocalls, and spoofed calls.
Important limitations:
- Callro cannot guarantee 100% detection of all spam or scam calls
- Callro may occasionally silence or block legitimate calls (false positives)
- Call screening effectiveness depends on your carrier's STIR/SHAKEN implementation
- Callro requires ROLE_CALL_SCREENING permission on your Android device to function
- Callro requires an active internet connection for spam database updates
3. Subscription, Billing, and Free Trial
3.1 Subscription Terms
Callro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $9.99 USD per month (or the equivalent in your local currency as determined by Google Play).
3.2 Free Trial
New subscribers receive a 5-day free trial with full access to all app features. No payment method is required to start your free trial. The trial begins automatically on your first launch of the App.
After the 5-day free trial ends, continued use of Callro's call screening features requires an active paid subscription at $9.99 per month. You may subscribe at any time before or after your trial ends.
One free trial per device. To prevent abuse, Callro uses device-level verification to enforce a limit of one free trial per physical device.
3.3 Auto-Renewal Disclosure
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each monthly billing period. You will be charged $9.99 per month unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period. You will be charged no earlier than 24 hours before the start of each new billing period.
By subscribing, you authorize Google Play to charge your selected payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
This disclosure complies with the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17600-17606) and Google Play's Subscriptions Policy.
3.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through:
Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Callro → Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access until the end of the paid period. Cancellation does not result in a refund of any portion of the current billing period.
3.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we increase the price, we will provide at least 30 days advance notice. Your continued use after the price increase takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
3.6 Billing
All billing is handled exclusively by Google Play. Vindication Inc. does not collect, store, or process your payment card information. For billing disputes or refund requests, contact Google Play support directly at support.google.com/googleplay.
3.7 Refund Policy
Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policies. Vindication Inc. does not independently process refunds for subscriptions managed through Google Play.
4. License
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable subscription fees (or during your active free trial), Vindication Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Callro on Android devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements
- Attempt to claim more than one free trial per device or circumvent device-level trial verification
- Resell or sublicense the App or your subscription
- Use the App to engage in any activity that violates applicable federal or state law
5. Intellectual Property
Callro, the Callro logo, the Gauntlet Engine name, the Shield support assistant name, and all related trademarks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Vindication Inc. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Vindication Inc.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to violate any applicable law, infringe upon intellectual property or privacy rights of others, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, interfere with or disrupt the App, transmit malicious code, impersonate any person, or circumvent, disable, or tamper with any security, trial enforcement, or access control feature of the App.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VINDICATION INC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BLOCK ALL SPAM OR SCAM CALLS, NEVER BLOCK LEGITIMATE CALLS, OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERROR, OR BE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL ANDROID DEVICES OR CARRIERS.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VINDICATION INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING FINANCIAL LOSSES FROM SCAM CALLS NOT BLOCKED, MISSED CALLS FROM LEGITIMATE CALLERS INCORRECTLY BLOCKED, DATA LOSS, OR ANY INTERRUPTION OF SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vindication Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
10. Force Majeure
Vindication Inc. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, government actions, power failures, internet outages, or third-party service failures including Google Play, Firebase, or Supabase service interruptions.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Vindication Inc., or the integrity of the App. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, and 13 survive termination.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed. The remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.
Informal Resolution. Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to contact us at support@getcallro.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Arbitration. For disputes involving amounts less than $10,000, either party may elect binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules in Pinellas County, Florida or by telephone at your election.
Class Action Waiver. You waive any right to bring or participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Vindication Inc. All claims must be brought on an individual basis.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vindication Inc. regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Last Updated date and providing notice within the App where required by law. Material changes will not take effect until 14 days after notification.
